I have discovered so much about my self and the world around me since I became a sahm, simply because I can stop and smell the flowers, because I can take twenty minutes to just sit peacefully, because I can see the world through the eyes of my children and enjoy their fascination with life, because I can have a slow day and be mindful and aware of all my thoughts.( Geeky Mom) sigh I am a SAHM for many reasons. But if I weren't, I'm sure I still wouldn't live up to Ms Hirshman's standard of elite feminist womanhood. I choose everything about who I am. I would not let her choose it for me. I love what I do. Everyone I know values what I do, both as parent and artist. We understand that this is no second rate life. ok...life's too short to stay this angry. I'm outta here. (screaming in frustration)
